Comment: We have a 1-story sunroom on the South end of our house that was rebuilt by the prior owner, who chose not to install gutters on the roof there. With the recent rain, we've had water in our basement along that side of the foundation, which I'm sure is in part due to the lack of gutters there causing water to drop off the roof along the South edge of the foundation (it's also due in part to inadequate grading away from the foundation there, no doubt). In any event, the gutter part is very simple, in fact I may just go to Home Depot, and try to do it myself, depending on the responses here. All we need is two 10-foot lengths of new gutter mounted one each on the East and West sides of the sunroom, and two drainspouts installed at the corners and down and out into the yard. (We also need some grading done, as I alluded to above, though I'm guessing that most likely wouldn't involve the same contractor? Let me know if I'm wrong about this last part.). Thanks. ~ xxxxx
