Reviews of Atlanta Bathroom Remodelers

Project: Remodel a Bathroom
Atlanta, GA

I hired RL Ingram Construction (Owned by Rodney Ingram) after interviewing several candidates recommended by Home Advisor for a two(2) bathroom(s)total remodel project. I went with mostly my instincts. I could not have been any happier!!! Rodney was HONEST, REASONABLE, INFORMATIVE, PATIENT, and most of all a PERFECTIONIST ! His staff were also the same. I had no worries, he guided me through every step and explained everything. I even let him pick out my new tub, toilets, and other needed things because I TRUSTED him. He came in right at his original estimate and both bathrooms are PERFECT. I am having a large dinner party in a few weeks and I could not be prouder. My condo looks brand new. He went above and beyond and so did his staff. I have another project I am looking to do this spring. There would be NO ONE ELSE I would rather have work on my condo than Mr. Ingram. So if you are looking to do a remodeling project (And mine was a large one) Do not even think twice or get any other estimates. I promise you I already did all that footwork for you. Go with RL INGRAM CONSTRUCTION. Tell Rodney Linda recommended you!!! Thanks to Rodney and his crew.

Ideas & Inspiration from Atlanta Addition & Remodeling Contractors

Atlanta Bathroom Remodel

What does the fastest growing major metropolitan area in the nation have in common with the rest of the country? When it comes to remodeling your home, in Atlanta or elsewhere, there are only two projects that are guaranteed to improve your home's value and your ability to sell it: bathrooms and kitchens. And when it comes to finding a home remodeling project that just about everyone can afford, the bathroom is where it's at. Compared to the other big dog in the remodeling industry (your kitchen), bathroom remodeling in Atlanta provides big returns with a smaller capital investment, making it one of the hottest remodels in Hotlanta.

The Costs
No need to beat around the bush. Deciding whether an Atlanta bathroom renovation is within your means is make or break when it comes to deciding whether to move forward and talk to a contractor about your project. Fortunately, HomeAdvisor collects data on the projects completed by our contractors so we can give potential customers an idea of what to expect on any given job in the Atlanta metro area. Based on that information, bathroom remodel costs in Atlanta average $7,500, with several jobs coming in at a low of $2,500 and others topping our charts at $13,000. What does that mean for Atlantans? It doesn't matter if you're in Buckhead or Peachtree City, Roswell or Snellville, Atlanta bathroom remodels are within reach of just about anyone looking for a smart way to improve their home and it's value.

Project Duration
Besides monetary costs, HomeAdvisor also records how long bathroom remodels in Atlanta take when performed by contractors in our system. It's a fact that the average financial costs of bathroom remodeling in Atlanta are a little bit lower compared to the final price tags in many other major cities; however, the time it takes for bathroom remodels in Atlanta to be completed is notably longer. While some jobs in Atlanta take as little as two weeks to complete, a month and a half is more representative of the average job, and large jobs have taken as long as three or four months. Why that's the case is up for debate. Maybe it's just the slower, more relaxed pace that the South is known for. More likely, however, it's because Atlanta's booming economy and fast growing population make for larger, more luxurious, and more complicated remodeling jobs in the first place.

Regardless, as a homeowner those longer completion times mean it's important for you to plan ahead. If you have multiple bathrooms, you really don't have much to worry about. If you're remodeling your only bathroom, however, it's vital that you communicate with your contractor to determine when, and for how long, your bathroom is going to be out of service. At least with a kitchen remodel you can order in. When your bathroom's out of commission, however, it can make for some pretty uncomfortable runs to the corner convenience store, not to mention calling around to figure out where your next shower is going to come from!

What Locals Have to Say
Atlanta has a pretty impressive collection of native sons and daughters. Jeff Foxworthy, Jimmy Carter, Martin Luther King, Jr., Julia Roberts, Usher, and Spike Lee, are just a few of the names that might ring a bell. But what does the average Joe Atlantan have to say about bathroom remodeling projects? HomeAdvisor keeps track of more than just numbers. We also ask homeowners who have utilized our services how their experience turned out and if they have any advice for Atlantans considering Atlanta bathroom remodels. Maintaining healthy communication with contractors was by far the most common suggestion.

"Know what you want and be very specific about how you want things done. Inspect the smallest detail and do not be afraid to point out issues or problems," suggested one homeowner.

Another advised that you take it even further and "attempt to provide visual pictures to help provide a clear vision and remain on the same page" with the contractor you hire.

Maybe the best advice, however, was elicited from a homeowner who gave her contractor a 5 star rating (HomeAdvisor's highest rating), and who summed up their advice to others in a single word: "patience." No matter how big, or small, your Atlanta bathroom renovation ends up being, the key to riding out any remodel is being able to roll with the punches. Keep in mind that when all is said and done, you'll have a bathroom that is going to add significant value to your home, and that you'll be able to thoroughly enjoy for years to come.
