The Randall County Sheriff’s Office held their inaugural membership meeting on Friday, June 17. The attendees included:
CLEAT President, Todd Harrison, Region 5 Director, Norm Fisher, Region 5 Staff Attorney, Terry Boone and Region 5 Field Representative, Tracy Chance, Sheriff Joel Richardson, several County Commissioners and members from the 100 Club.
It was a packed meeting in Fort Worth as the recently elected Republican candidate for Sheriff, Bill Waybourn, visited with members of the Tarrant County Law Enforcement Association regarding issues related to the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Waybourn was endorsed by the Tarrant County Law Enforcement Association, the Fort Worth Police Officers Association, the Arlington Police Association and CLEAT during his recent campaign for Sheriff in the primary election.
The Nederland Police Officers Association and the Nederland City Council have ratified a three year contract that includes pay raises and other benefits for the officers. The association leaders along with CLEAT Field Services Representative Tom Barbee started negotiations earlier this month and reached an agreement shortly thereafter. Congratulations to these fine officers.
