Project: Remodel a Kitchen
Houston, TX

Dave had a competent staff of people working on our home. He was responsive and finished the projects as quickly as he could. He was willing to come back and fix the few little things we asked him to fix.

Project: Remodel a Kitchen
Houston, TX

I wanted to have brand new wood cabinets and they assured me that they could do that. They built my cabinets from solid oak wood and they look wonderful. It took a little while but they would not install anything until it was totally correct. Any messes that they made were cleaned up before they left. They even took away all of the old cabinets because our heavy trash day would not be until June. They were very professional. They measured my kitchen over and over to make sure that everybody's numbers were the same. When the cabinets were finally put in they fit perfectly. Thank you, Respro. I have already referred them to my friend.

Houston Kitchen Remodels

Some people may think traditional Houston fare consists of nothing more than brisket, sausage, and ribs, with an occasional side of seafood, but as a port city Houston has assimilated many different culinary traditions. Whether you're in search of a more convenient kitchen design or improved kitchen décor, a Houston kitchen remodel promises to deliver the latest trends and amenities for this crucial area of your home. Plus, few home improvement projects can increase the resale value of your home like a well-planned kitchen remodel.

Kitchen Remodeling: Houston, TX
A kitchen remodel can be whatever you want it to be. Of course, the driving force of any remodeling project is your own personal preferences, but where in Houston you live can give you hints about the kitchen remodel that's right for you. In Katy, a kitchen able to service a full family may be essential. Residences in the Heights may be ready for a new kitchen to go along with the general renaissance taking place in the community. And, in The Woodlands, you may need to get permission to cut down a tree, but you don't need permission to change the finish on your wood kitchen cabinetry.

Cost of a Kitchen Remodel
For every kitchen remodel that comes through our system, we attempt to gather information to provide to homeowners such as yourself. The first question is how much the project cost. While the national average for a kitchen remodel is $18,500, we see remodels come in consistently under this price tag.

Of course, if you're doing a full kitchen remodel and have expensive tastes you can spend more than $20,000 no matter where you live. If you do want to go all out, the kitchen of your dreams is out there waiting for you. Besides the extra cost, another thing to keep in mind is that high end kitchen remodels generally don't return the same percentage of remodeling costs in increased property value. You can have kitchen countertops made of pure gold, the value of your home ultimately has an upper limit based on where in Houston you live. The good news is even a modest budget and sensible choices can give you a new, splendid kitchen.

Project Length of a Renovation
One of the necessary evils of a kitchen remodel is temporarily incapacitating your kitchen during the renovation process. Many homeowners find this the most difficult aspect of their kitchen remodel. It's not surprising, either. The importance of a kitchen to your home is the reason for both the popularity of renovating it and the inconvenience of not having one you can use.

So, how long can you expect the project to last and what can you do about it? The national average for a kitchen renovation is 30 days. The data coming from our Houston kitchen renovations suggests, if anything, the local average is a little less than a month. As for coping, learn to love eating out and the value of your local pizza delivery driver. Also, if you have a grill, now's the time to use it. If you don't have an auxiliary refrigerator, rent for your garage and stock up on hot dogs and hamburgers. Quite a few hot meals can be had from an open flame and paper plates. Perhaps the best advice is simply to be patient and trust that once you have your new kitchen you'll realize it's been worth it.
