After an extremely prompt response to my request (about 10 minutes after I entered it online) and a next day estimate, I hired Rafael for a job others considered "too small"- replacing two risers on my front door wooden staircase. Of course when he started the job, it grew, and I am so thankful it did. When he removed the boards in question, he found the underlying structure to be totally rotten as well. This was not a "scam the ignorant woman" trick. He sent photos to me at work and waited 20 minutes for me to come home and see for myself. Other risers would have needed replacing in another year as well. So he ended up practically rebuilding the entire staircase. (The treads were reusable.) He and his partner custom built new stringers and replaced all of the risers, working until 9:00 pm to finish the job. He told me the wood needed to completely dry 7-10 days before painting, and without my even having to call again to remind him, he came yesterday to paint, fill nail holes, etc. it looks great, and I couldn't be happier. Despite the amount of work being 3-4 times greater, the cost of the job was barely over 2 times the original estimate. Rafael was friendly, courteous and professional. They thoroughly cleaned up after construction and painting. He also didn't ask for any payment until the job was complete. The only reason I even considered giving him just 4 stars was I don't want him to get too busy and be unable to work for me in the future! I definitely would recommend him to anyone, and will hire him again.

They were professional. They kept me informed of their arrival time when things changed slightly. They did their job with a smile. They worked quickly but didn't sacrifice the quality of their work. Excellent experience. They are now my permanent handy service!

Rafael was able to squeeze me in last minute on the Friday night of a holiday weekend. Both he and his coworker arrived on time, and they were courteous and quick. I thought he was only coming to quote me for the job, but to my surprise he offered to do it on the spot and was finished in less than an hour. Good work with a great attitude. I will gladly call him again.

Rafael and his crew were awesome. He was very quick to respond and come give an estimate and was able to do the work very soon. His quality of work was really great. He was very courteous and came well prepared with all materials and gave great value for money for us. He was very versatile and did variety of fixes around the house. I would recommend him anyday.

The guys showed almost exactly when they said they would which is impressive for a Friday night. They were willing to drive to my house and look at the repair job just to give me an estimate. They charge on a per job basis not on a per hour, which is nice because you know they are going to make sure the job is done right and not worry about going too quickly to keep the price down. Overall a quality job that was done very efficiently and convenient for me.

He's a little slow, does excellent work. When you pay someone by the hour, and they're slow, it's not always the best quality for the money.
