Comment: We have lived in our house for 4 1/2 years. We have had flooding in our basement in the past but never a mold smell. Our basement has not flooded in over a year. 4-5 days ago, a VERY stong mildew/mold odor began in the entryway to our house. It can also be smelled in basement under the entryway. Entryway is closed off from the rest of the house with an interior door. My husband and I emptied the entryway for a day, washed floor and walls, and pulled off moulding. Smell did not get any better. We can identify where the smell is the strongest but can not see any mold. I am 11 weeks pregnant and we also have a 7 month old at home with our two older children (in school).
