Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. (ΛΤΩ) is a multicultural sorority founded in 1988 at Montclair State College, now Montclair State University, in Montclair, New Jersey. The sorority was founded by sixteen women who felt the need for a multicultural sorority at Montclair State College. Dissatisfied with the options of Greek organizations available at their school, they created Lambda Tau Omega. Lambda Tau Omega is a founding member of the National Multicultural Greek Council (NMGC).
