Basement will be recreation/TV room and woodworking shop. I am just in planning stage and want ball park estimates for an automation unit (or units) capable of controlling main lighting on all floors (Z-wave switches), tankless hot water system for kitchen and all three bathrooms, HVAC system (one unit, 5 heads), video cameras at front and back doors, automatic blinds in each bedroom, and traditional (ADT-type) security system. I already have cost estimates for all the systems I want to control (my brother-in-law is a home contractor), so I just need estimates (range is fine) for the cost of the automation control unit itself and likely installation cost (excluding wiring costs).
