Good location withing walking distance of the Colosseum and just across the road from the a Metro Station. Breakfast was included in the room rate. The breakfast included a good selection of very low quality food. However it was possible to find something acceptable to eat, hence avoiding the cost of buying breakfast elsewhere. There was also a great family operated restaurant near the hotel that served great food at a good price.”
The Inn is in a prime location on Via Condotti, a few steps away from the Spanish Steps. If hordes of tourists are your thing, then this is the place to stay. If not, then it isn't. The staff is first rate and the rooms are wonderful, but on the small side. The big issue issue with the rooms is the bath, which is a shower/bath combo. Getting in and out without slipping is a major challenge because (a) the tub is narrow, so the surface is curved under one's feet and (b) there are no bars to hang on to . . . only the swinging glass partition or the towel rack . . . neither of which are stable/sturdy. Breakfast (included in most rates) is excellent and there's a 5 - 8 p.m. cocktail hour with substantial, free hors d'oeuvres. Both are on the roof, away from the din from the street below, and offer great views of the city.”
Perfect airport hotel. After late night flight the hotel was a cool refuge. We had a family room which was massive (2 rooms). Friendly reception, English speaking as required. Brilliant breakfast and free shuttle back to the airport. Nothing much nearby (as with most airport hotels) although we didn't have chance to explore.”
A very far walk with luggage. Water taxis are available but no stop close to here. Hotel was great, location was not. Nothing near the hotel and very dark little walkways at night.”
Hotel Abbazia is a very nice clean hotel. The staff was multi-lingual, freindly and very helpful. The hotel location is a short walk from the Venice train station which is nice if you are carrying luggage and are in the city for a short stay. It is easy to miss the alley to hotel since it is narrow and located between tables to 2 restuarants on each side of the alley. The alley is quite with minimal tourist traffic. The breakfast buffet is excellent and eating in the hotel courtyard was nice.”
The single bed in the triple room was a very thin mattress but as I'm quite a small person it wasn't too much of a problem. The lady at the desk told us it was a 20 minute wall to the basilica. That was a lie it took is a good hour whilst looking at shops etc. I would stay again as it is in a great location ! Right next to the canal and the train station. Great service too.”
Hotel located opposite to the train station, very convenience to take trains (1 min walk). The room is extremely small. It's difficult to open two baggages at the same time. The bed is the most comfortable one during our stay in Italy. The hotel breakfast is not good, it has limited choices and seats are limited too. I will definitely choose this hotel when I visit Florence next time.”
The reviews are correct. No one was there to check us in/greet us. There was a note on the door off the street with a key. - Make sure to turn the key with some force as we could not get the key to work correct at fist. That being said, for the price this was an excellent value. The neighborhood felt safe and is close enough to walk to major attractions. Breakfast was adequate. When the staff was there, for breakfast and housekeeping, they were very friendly and helpful.”
A modern, clean apartment room with Queen and two singles, included a kitchenette and dining table, enough space for a family of four. Very handy to the train station and also lots of great restaurants nearby. Breakfast was pleasing with hot options (bacon, eggs and baked beans ) as well as usual continental european fare. Pleasant reception and overall a great value stay.”
Very nice suite in a hotel in a very convenient location. Walking distance from main sites like the Duomo, excellent metro and tram connections. Breakfast was decent, nothing special, but not bad at all. Service was not warm at all, very perfunctory and almost not caring.”
What can I say? stayed 2 nights with family, the hotel is just great. Great location next to Cathedral, 200m away from Metro subway, Large room, clean and upscale toilet, good breakfast, close to all things. Price is higher but not absurd. If return to Milan, this is my choice.”
Cozy Hotel. A lot of food around to go to. Even late at night, Clean friendly staff.”
