I just love him and I really do. His work just speaks on the same frequency as my mind; but unlike my mind, which is tangled up in a ball of confusion most of the time, he can actually conceptualise his (and my) aesthetics clearly and exhibit it impeccably to the world. I believe that is the key to his success.

The pre-fall collection is of course no exception. I love the geometry in this collection. There is symmetry and asymmetry; both of which, executed with so much intricacy and strict precision. Coats, trousers and leggings were tailored to create soft contours around the body and both looked smart and sharp.
I love the trousers with the draping. Unlike how it sounds, it is not a heavy look at all, but on the contrary, very refined and elegant. It works great with a laced top or with a bomber-style fur coat.

Accessories are, of course, also a fundamental element to the collection. There were fury boots that are cosy and warm; laced-up peek-a-toe bootie in camel (mmm…) that is simply an object of desire for me; elegant gloves embellished with black feathers that give an extra extravagant edge; and a skinny tie that adds definition and a sense of austerity to the dark romantic look.

Overall, each look is unique and I know I already want each one of it… badly!

I’ve always loved Narciso Rodriguez. I love the way he combines the graphical element deriving from architecture to his designs. The way he does it perfectly accentuates the best part of a woman’s body and is very graphically beautiful.

Although founded more than half a century ago in 1953, the Italian fashion house continues to establish itself successfully amongst the cream of the crop in the world of fashion. While being true to its traditions of fine knitwear done with exceptional craftsmanship, it is very contemporary in terms of conception and design and fits perfectly with today’s scene just as it did when it was first founded. For this pre-fall collection, the lavish zigzag signature pattern unique to the house is being incorporated into a variety of pieces unique to a woman’s wardrobe. Juxtaposed with this rather shapely silhouette showcased by none other than the fair doll-faced Norwegian model Siri Tollerød, the collection truly adds that magical zest of youth and romance to live up the dull pre-fall season.
