Long time oasis fan of all albums, the last beady eye album (different gear) and Noel's solo project High Flying Birds.
My first listen of this album, my initial thoughts were "oh no, this isn't good". A few days later I decided to listen again with a clean mind, not expecting to hear the next wonderwall or supersonic and I was impressed. Impressed enough that I have now had it on repeat for a few days, the album is a nice journey with good melodies throughout.
Keep in mind I never played different gear still speeding or high flying birds this much. I listened to those 2 albums all the way through 2 or 3 times, picked out my favorite songs and moved on..
TLDR: listen to it all the way through 2 times, you'll come back for more.

Long time oasis fan and huge fan of brother Noel Gallaghers album but this album is only just better than disappointing, although it's still an improvement on Differwnt Gear Still Speeding. Weak lyrics and a frontman who struggles to hit the high notes. Songs sound like they would have if NG hadnt joined and helped form oasis. The music sounds good though with much better accompaniment of orchestra....no way would I want to see liam attempt these songs live, shadow of former self unfortunately.

I agree with the other reviews. Good start with 'Flick the Finger' then it's all down hill. Woeful Janet and John lyrics that don't say anything to me. My kids could do better honest, considering he does give the big 'I am' and was the front of the biggest band in the country this is embarrassing. I heard he's interested in an Oasis reunion, having listened to this I now know why. Noel beware don't accept any calls from little bruv
