Where is Your Weather Information From?

timeanddate.com receives its weather information from an external weather service provider called CustomWeather. The current weather conditions are updated every 30 minutes via CustomWeather. This provider has its own forecasting models, which means that there can be a difference between their data and the data provided by government-provided weather information.

Can I Display Your Weather Information on My Website?

Unfortunately the weather information is not offered at the moment as we currently do not own the copyright.

Can You Explain What the Weather Symbols Mean?

Explanations of weather symbols are usually found under the weather symbols in each weather page for places found on The World Clock and The World Clock—long list.

timeanddate.com also plans to have a weather symbol chart in the near future.

What do the arrows mean?

The arrows indicate the direction in which the wind is expected to blow. The directions of the arrows refer to the directions on most maps, where north is upward. Thus, an arrow pointing upwards indicates that the wind will blow from south to north, an arrow pointing right means that the wind will blow from west to east.

How do I Change Fahrenheit to Celsius?

Click on the “Change to Celsius” link or “Change to Fahrenheit” link, depending on what is currently shown, under the current temperature reading (which should also show an icon next to it) on the right hand side of the weather page for your chosen city/town, or on the Local Weather around the World page, which is linked from The World Clock.

You can also amend change your preferred weather format by going to the site customization page. You can choose either “Derived metric units” (for Celsius readings) or “Imperial units” (for Fahrenheit readings) next to the “Numbers with Units” selection on the site customization page. Don’t forget to save your settings if you make changes to your customization.

It is important to note that the percentages are just estimates. It simply means there is a certain percent chance of precipitation falling on that location.
