Toys & Games has Holiday Selling Guidelines

To maintain buyer confidence in Amazon this festive season, we are implementing Christmas Selling Guidelines for the Toys & Games store. With effect from 15 November, 2011, only those sellers who meet the following performance criteria will be eligible* to sell in Toys & Games from 15 November, 2011 upto the end of the first week of January 2012:
  • Seller’s first sale on Amazon.co.uk must be prior to 19/09/2011 (sale does not need to be Toy-specific).
  • Seller must have processed and dispatched at least 25 orders (do not need to be Toy-specific) during the 60 consecutive days preceding 1/11/2011.
  • No greater than 1% short-term order defect rate as of 1/11/2011.
  • No greater than 2.5% pre-fulfilment cancellation rate for the 30 days preceding 1/11/2011.
  • No greater than 5% late dispatch rate for the 30 days preceding 1/11/2011.
*Orders fulfilled by Amazon will not be subject to the festive season restrictions provided the account is in good standing. Amazon Services Europe reserves the right to cancel listings, suspend accounts, and prohibit the sale of specific products to maintain a marketplace that is safe for buyers.

How to Sell on Amazon.co.uk from outside the UK

To sell on Amazon.co.uk from outside the UK is easy. If you are an existing seller on any of Amazon’s other European marketplaces (in France, Italy or Germany), you only need to create offers on Amazon.co.uk using your Amazon European Marketplaces Account. For new sellers outside the UK, You only need to open a seller account in any of Amazon’s European marketplaces, and you’ll be allowed to create offers on Amazon.co.uk.

Before you can start selling on Amazon.co.uk, you need to make sure you satisfy certain “customer experience rules”, to ensure a consistent shopping experience for your customers. We have compiled a detailed rule book, and we strongly recommend you read and understand those rules before you commit to selling on Amazon.co.uk from outside the UK. We have a lot of successful international sellers on Amazon.co.uk, so we are confident that these rules will not be a burden to your business.
