Synopsis
NOT GOING OUT is a BBC sitcom played mostly on the effects of deadpan and wordplay. The series stars Lee Mack as Lee, a confused, lethargic and unmotivated thirty-something living in London with Kate, an attractive and successful American whom he falls for. Unfortunately Kate is Lee’s landlady and, even worse, his best friend Tim’s ex girlfriend. This title included all three series.

best tv series ever,

I got this because I find Lee Mack an absolutley hilarious comedian. I was pleasantly suprised by this show. My favourite shows are the ones like friends, blackadder anbd porridge, but this show doesn't have a few really good lines in every scene; in 'Not Going Out' every other line is hilarious.
Lee Mack has made the show its own. And the best part is that the humour is clean. There is no uneccessary swearing at all like his stand up acts. There are no cringy bits either, inlike quite a few episodes of friends. this is without a shadow o a doubt, the best tv show on earth, and yet it is a fairly unknown show, which has unfortunately, led it into a premature dive into the unwanted shows. 3 series is not enough, which you would agree with once you have watched them. I am merely writing this review becase this show does not get enough credit. i would strongly reccommend it to absolutley anyone.

Machine gun wit,

Seldom do we see a television show that blasts its way onto our screens with such verve and wit as is the case with Lee Macks simply devine 'Not going out'.
I came across this superb sitcom by accident one night whilst channel surfing. I've been a huge fan of Macks' for years and his transition from stand up to sitcom can be considerd in the same light as Ricky Gervais and the office. Sharp, witty, fast paced and with great comedy acting, Not going out can go round for round with the comedy giants, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Bottom, ect, and hold its own. An absolute classic of the 00's

At last a decent sitcom,

A very well written and acted sit-com, shows off Lee Mack and Tim Vine's impeccable comedy timing. Quick witted and laugh out loud funny make this an essential purchase. So if you're one for very ridiculous situations (i.e. getting your flatmate pregnant by masturbating in a bath), incompetent housekeeping and a front door that is always left open (have you noticed that ?) then this is one for you
Be warned for those who like their comedy gentle, this ISN'T Terry and June !!!

Not Going Out Series 1-3
Highly enjoyable, Laugh-out loud comedy Series. Series 1 & 2 are the Highlights, although Series 3 is also good. Lee Mack and Tim Vine provide Entertainment throughout.

I noticed one episode was cut...damn shame funny scene
Series 2 episode 4 babies They cut out the whole scene with Lee holding the baby and playing the song Anarchy in the UK.

Stop... my tummy hurts!
Virtually every review for this product is 5 stars, and for good reason. This show is hilarious! Clever and quick witted humour, everyone can relate to some aspect of the show.
