Honestly i have been playing pokemon since it's old black and white days and i have seen progress but this is the best yet. Okay i shall admit that the pokemon names are a little bit laughable but hey it's got to appeal to kids as well! so far i am only up to the fifth gym but i am finding that while the story line remains similar to the older versions there are some dramatic changes the wifi world would be great! (only i can't connect my DS to Wifi at the moment) i feel that to play the game at its fullest you need the wifi but its a fresh take on an old game...

10/10 in my book!

I have played the Pokemon games since the Yellow version came out. I have only played it for a bit so far (first gym badge) and for me this game is very refreshing and feels like the first time I've played a Pokemon game again, with 150 brand new Pokemon and no sight of the old ones until you complete the game its great!

Some ways in which the game starts is different to the previous ones too so it feels new. I got bored playing Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Diamond so I wasn't too excited about this game thinking that the Pokemon games are the same old thing. But Pokemon Black and White is brilliant and I am addicted to playing it like I was with Yellow and Silver!

This has to be one of Nintendo & Game Freak's best ever Pokemon games yet, it's tough and hard even from the start, it's got great graphics and you'll love the storyline. I got this on it's release date 4th March 2011 and have been playing all day long (day off collage today). This game will keep you entertained for ages and is well worth the price even with all the new features you'll find something to do.

Wow...Simply astounding..Well done Nintendo and Gamefreak!!! I have to admit, I had my reservations when I first heard about this game almost a year ago..But having played this game non-stop for the past 6 hours, my doubts have been stopped in their tracks.
Firstly, graphics are amazing for a fairly old console (Nintendo DS has been out since '04) and now the backsprites of the Pokemon are fully animated, thus making it much more interesting to watch.
Story-wise, the game is far more advanced than previous generations. I won't spoil it, don't worry!
In the terms of new Pokemon, I mostly think they are all pretty cool, except for the names.. I mean, Lillipup?? C'mon Nintendo, you can do better than that! Thank God, you can nickname them.

The game mechanics are pretty much the same: You are a trainer in the Unova region and you must catch, battle and train various Pokemon to achieve your goal...To be the greatest Pokemon master in the world!

Overall, I think Nintendo really did themselves proud. The game didn't get the perfect 40/40 on Famitsu for nothing, you know!! Excellent game, I'd recommend it to anybody with a DS. So get out there and buy the damn game !!!

I've only had the game for a few hours but the pokemon team have done it again!

Set in a new region with a 5th set of over 100 new pokemon, lots of new moves, abilities, gameplay styles and better visuals (continously moving sprites) the series has stayed fresh.

A must buy for any pokemon fan or anyone who owns a ds really - probably the best ds game out there by far!

finally nintendo has taken a different approach to the pokemon series.I was starting to get bored playing the same thing over and over again but this won't let me away from my nintendo DS it's sooooo good 10/10 I recommend it!

The graphics of this game is great, far better than previously done. The camera swings around in cities so you can get the best view of yourself in the street. It starts off nicely and introduces you like a beginner so its great for newbies to pokemon. The battles are speeded up for achieving experience points so you'll never get bored waiting for results. The characters are interesting, the bad guys are weird! The new pokemon are adorable!!! The plot is easy to deduce so you know where to go next.
Overall the best pokemon game yet made- better than pokemon yellow my favourite.
Nicely lit graphics and good music.
A must buy for people of any age.

I am a hardcore Pokemon fan, have played literally every game from the start, through to the Gamecube and Wii. Didn't think it was possible to better Heart Gold/Soul Silver. I was wrong. Everything about this game is fantastic, the graphics are amazing for DS [3D at times], the storyline is similar to that of other games, but is also very different. The new Pokemon are very cool also, some crazy names but still excellent choices for your party. All in all, if you are a big Pokemon fan, I would recommend this game to you at the highest level of persuasion. Nintendo have outdone themself once again.
