Bought this today for 5 & 6 year olds. The instructions are not easy enough for them to follow, i ended up building it. They wanted the Summer House first, this took about 1 hour 30 minutes to build, i couldn't believe how small it was! They could put a hand in the opening roof and put mini figs in but there's not much playability. I thought the Apple tree house would be bigger as it uses most of the bricks and both baseplates but its still ridiculously small, the garage has to have a really small car and the roof has to be taken off which reveals a very small living room and a crawl space at the top which fits about two mini figs but you cant move them about.
