Zuzana Krzalata and Girts Vitolins in Adidas Spring Summer 2009 Ad Campaign

Really like this Adidas lookbook. I like the whiteness on the cover and right through out its pages as well - crisp and simple.

Danish for Joop Jewellery

Freja Beha Erichsen for Joop Spring Summer 2009 Accessories

Freja Beha Erichsen for Joop Spring Summer 2009 Accessories

It was strange for me to see a Danish chick and a Danish boy together doing a jewellery campaign for a German brand. What I mean is that normally German brands are very loyal, i.e. Toni Garrn for Boss and Luca Gadjus for Escada; but I guess since the Danish language is part of the Germanic family, Freja and Eddie both count as “German” in this case.

The campaign is shot by Craig McDean and I love the simplicity and the sleekness of it all.

Although there are only three images of these yummy Danish models in the accessories lookbook (all the others are close up of products), I am sold! Freja and Eddie’s mesmerising gazes just pierce right thru me and I want them and the glistening jewellery!

Spotted:

@ Lindtner, a “fine” food store: a fly circling the air above sultana bread and after 5 seconds, made a smooth landing then took off again.
@ Everywhere: Lots of people, not only hobos, looking into rubbish bin. Is that really a secret gold and diamond mine?
@ Busstop: Girl spraying perfume while driving. What a multi-task marvel?
@ S-Bahn: A guy, with blonde hair, dressed in chic creamy white suit with a huge canon camera around his neck. Have a feeling he is Mr. Satorialist because of the size of his camera. Is it?
@ Bus & In Bus: A French guy [1] who looks like a cross between Vinnie and Mathias, i.e. Vinnie’s face and Mathias’ haircut. A real gentleman, too, because he let me on the bus first - something that I have not done in Germany since I arrived actually. Awww…
@ Bus stop outside KaDeWe: Man with full length fur coat complete with a cowboy’s hat in the middle end of June.
@ Strenesse: All about tailoring and the magic touch!
@ St. Emile: Structures, colours and a conspicuous lightness.
@ Etro: Byzantium-inspired collection looks even better in real life, especially those delectable scarves. Exquisite details. Vibrant colours, vibrant life!
@ Somewhere in KaDeWe: The possible reason why a certain American label beginning with B is so affordable is because its quality is third rate.
@ Casualwear/KaDeWe: American vintage tank tops at 39.95 euros each - the ultimate price for wearing wrinkly and being cool.
@ KaDeWe: somebody [2] snatching catalogs/lookbooks, like a true thief.
@ Shoes/KaDeWe: Casadei’s towering chunky wedges with metallic lattice work, like YSL’s spring/summer 2009 IT shoes. Sales price at a whopping 479 euros.
@ Menswear floor: men getting their shoes polished. Something they like a lot for sure?
@ Perfume Floor: Had a Flora by Gucci accident. It all went on my fingers. A real stink.
@ Max & Co.: No (wo)man’s land! Who exactly are their customers anyway?
@ Bus stop: passed by woman with smoky voice like Carmen, thought it was a man; then took a glimpse: 100% Femme not even any signs of being a tranny.
@ M45 Bus: Invisible woman [3] getting squashed by American tourist, who is the same size as Homie [4].
@ Bus (again): a guy who looks like Maxxie from Skins - the exact same haircut. So cute!
@ Bus: man wearing Givenchy pour Homme perfume. Found him attractive by smell and wanted to kiss him, even though he is so macho.

[1] I know because a “French” couple conversed with him (for directions?) in what I believe is “French”. The guy from the couple looks strikingly like Mr. Sarkozy actually. Weird, huh?
[2] a.k.a me.
[3] This is me, too!
[4] This refers to Homer Simpson.

Calling Dr. Scheller

Dr Scheller's Facial Moisturiser

Dr Scheller's Facial Moisturiser

Did not end up buying Nivea for men, because Rusya and others keep threatening me how if I use something that is meant for men, my face will grow more than enough unwanted facial hair. Frankly speaking, I think it is just the same stuff, but more basic formula and with a different fragrance.

I ended up taking Dr. Scheller home and so far, so good. I like the smell and oh, buying it kind of makes me feel good, too, because it justifies for my spending, as I am trying something new and exciting; and above all, Dr. Scheller sounds like a German name, no?

Even though I might not be fully immersed into the German lifestyle, my skincare routine is.

Studying Tags

I hate checking tags out, because it makes me look so stingy, but I have to, because I want to find out all about the clothes, including what it is made of and what the hottest fabric this season is. Saw this season”s most favorite shiny black leather-like material, found out it is actually 70% polyester and 30% polyurethane. Does not sound like something completely out of space, even though the look is so out of this world. Wowww…

Spotted

@ Busstop outside KaDeWe: Girl [1] fighting the wind in an attempt to put scarf on. Result: 1:0. Wind wins!
@ everywhere: male models lookalike. Fashion week is sooo imminent! Castings, boys, castings!
@ Top deck of bus: Guy with neon bright graffitti jumper. Even though both electro and graffitti are kind of over and that he is one big step away from hot, he manages to look cool somehow. Attitude?
@ Neuköln: Dog running along with a biker.
@ Hauptbahnhof: Middle aged woman with leopard print pencil skirt. Very brave!

[1] a.k.a. me!
