About Plasterers

The most common job a Plasterer will do is applying finishes to internal walls, ceilings and floors to give them a smooth and nice looking finish for painting or further decorating.

However other common tasks include making ornamental plasterwork such as ceiling roses, cornices and ornamental columns.

Plasterers are also now expanding into "Dotting and Dabbing" which is a process involving  fixing of internal plasterboard or wallboard partitions by fastening boards together on a timber or metal frame ready for decorating. Plasterers who carry out this kind of work are often refered to as 'dry liners'.
