Amazon Web Services Amazon Web Services enables Web developers to seamlessly integrate
Amazon.co.uk features and content into their websites. Website owners can use it to: - add constantly updated information about Amazon.co.uk
products to their websites
- sell Amazon.co.uk products on their websites
- build customised links and dynamic advert
placements
Web developers can use it to design productivity applications for
other Amazon.co.uk customers, merchants, Associates and website owners. Amazon Web Services consist of a set of self-contained applications
that can be published and invoked across the Web using XML-based protocols. You
can access Web Services through an XML over HTTP or a SOAP interface. Both of
these methods return structured data (product name, manufacturer, price etc.)
about products at Amazon.co.uk, based on parameters such as keyword search
terms and browse tree nodes. XML and SOAP enable you to retrieve product information directly
from our servers on a daily basis and format the information any way you'd
like. If you don't want to parse the XML yourself, use our XSLT service to
reference an external style sheet in your calls to Amazon.co.uk, and we will
pass back a document that follows the guidelines of that style sheet. To download the free Amazon Web Services software developer's kit
